Telephone

Problem

Tips

Corrective Action

I tend to cradle the telephone handset between my ear and shoulder - at the same time use the keyboard and take notes.

Bottom line - don't cradle the telephone between your ear and your shoulder.

It's tough on both your neck and your ear!

Hand hold
  • For short calls hold the handset with your hand.

  • DO NOT cradle it between your ear and shoulder!
  • NOTE: phone shoulder cradles may seem like a good idea; but you still end up with static out-of-neutral head and neck position.

Headset or speaker phone

  • For longer calls and when you need to take notes (handwritten or at the keyboard) consider use of a hands-free headset.

  • Another option may be to use a speaker phone - this may not be suitable based on noise levels.

Hand hold the telephone handset.

Add a headset. Go to Products to order.

Use the speaker phone option.
