Conference Rooms

Problem

Tips

Corrective Action

Conference room chairs are not comfortable for me.

Chair isn't adjusted to provide adequate support and position:

  • Tips back too easily

  • Wrong seatpan height in relation to conference table height

Adjust conference chair

Take time to adjust the chair in the conference room.  Check out the Chair section to learn how to adjust it

Check the seatpan rocking tension - it may be set too loose. Turn the knob under the seatpan clockwise to tighten.

Check the seatpan height - raise it up to place your hands/arms in neutral position at the conference table height.

If  you can't get your feet on the floor when you raise the seatpan height bring in a footrest.

Bring a small pillow to provide better back support.

Bring your chair

If you know it is a long meeting bring your own chair - this may not always be feasible but it can make a huge difference by the end of the meeting.

I am able to improve the comfort of the conference room chair.

I am NOT able to improve the comfort of the conference room chair - contact supervisor.
