Tips

Seatpan Height

Proper seatpan height is critical. If your Equa spins up and down for height adjustment it may change on its own over time. You stand up out of the chair, the chair turns, you return to the chair to sit down, the chair turns. Over the course of time it may spin up or down.

So, one day if you feel like you are sitting in a little kid's chair or a bar stool, check the seatpan height and adjust accordingly.

Rocking Tension

If the seatpan tension is set too lose you will feel like you are falling backward when you sit back in the chair. You will tend to perch on the front edge of the seatpan without proper back support.

The control for seatpan tension is under the seatpan. Turn it clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen.

How much is based on body weight - you want enough tension to provide support when you rock back but not so much it launches you out of the chair!

If you tighten it all the way and still don't have adequate support the chair is not appropriate for you.

Size

The Equa comes in one size and needs to be the right size for you.

Refer to the Chair Checklist to determine if the chair is the right size for you.
